Another great mix of fruit and kale to create a liquid smoothie in the Ninja! This one has a great blueberry taste, and was easier to drink than the smoothies with more frozen fruit. This had a smooth texture, and light fruit and milk taste.
Ingredients
Frozen blueberries – about 1/2 cup
2 Kale Leaves – frozen
Almond Milk – about 2/3 cup
Protein Powder – half vanilla scoop
Hemp Seeds – 2 teaspoons
The hemp seeds add a good earthy flavor to the smoothie, but it is the blueberry and vanilla that are the dominant taste in this great drink. Blended in the Ninja for about 1 minute. You’ll want to puree the skins of the frozen blueberries – otherwise the skins will sink to the bottom of the glass.
The half scoop of protein is about 16 grams. Made the smoothie thinner in pour.
